In the last blog, I have briefly written about how Beliefs Formation happens. Mostly beliefs get formed unconsciously through parenting, environment and experiences. Beliefs drive our lives. It is very much worth to review (all ), re-install (empowering) and remove (dis empowering) beliefs.
You can list down all your beliefs just to see what kind of beliefs you are carrying. Take your core beliefs and do deep examine if they are empowering you or dis empowering.
What is an empowering belief and dis empowering belief?. Empowering beliefs are the ones which will help you move in the direction you like. Dis empowering beliefs drag you in the opposite direction.
Let’s say you have a goal of having very healthy body. Then you may have belief (empowering) that daily exercise is essential for healthy body. At the same time if you are carrying a belief( dis empowering) that you can’t resist having good food and drinks then this belief will negate the empowering belief and then your progress will be at deadlock. And when people try and say diet plans are not working, etc what is really happening is conflict of beliefs and it is nothing to do with actual diet plan. Same phenomenon take place in any aspect of life goals where you don’t see progress.
So how we delete dis empowering beliefs and install new empowering ones?. For both, you need to build enough references through experiences. In the above example, you may have to install a new belief like – “Rigor and discipline is must to achieve health body”. At the same time delete the belief – ” I can’t resist good food and drinks”. There are number of ways you can build the references and experiences – building knowledge which supports your belief, associating with people who are carrying the same belief and experimenting on your own, etc.
Just take one area (health, wealth, career or any thing) and experiment this process and you will find the magic.
